Slavery not an issue any more cause well the south upon fending for itself eventually wised up and realised they were being shitty, but the union, the united states of america is no more, Texas is their own country constantly fighting mexico for land, most of Arizon New Mexico and Southern California are part of Mexico, as they were originaly. and utah and that area is the United Territories of Ladder Day Saints. and the lands north are Indian territory. the story occurs on the border between mormon country and the Indian Nations, and their fight for land and culture. wild and untamed!

and the other is the story occurs on mars, Earth being overpoulated and crime ridden a few secular colonies have established themself on mars and a few very powerful Mormon colonies have established themselve and are slowly taking over, this would also involve some pretty crazy mormon doctorine and religious stuff. the other would deal mostly with the LDS as a government.

i started this to sort of clear my thoughts and hopefully start getting things on paper but its mostly presenting more questions that answers.
anyway questions comments? hate mail? anything?

Lets talk about Ed.

Ed is my inspiration. I love Ed. Edward Abbey that is.
http://www.abbeyweb.net/
however reading his work is sometimes bad for me. Like this week for instance, i bought some of his published journals and almost bought a plane ticket home so that i could start a new career as a river guide. Fuck art school, who needs a degree in Furniture design anyway? no one. Edward Abbey reminds me of who i really am and where i come from. and well I am a redneck, and i come from a long line of them. Really the more i read the more i hate where i am and what im doing. ahh but i digress sorry about that. lets get back to a mister Ed Abbey, who has been compared with Twain and Thoreau. he preached something not many dare too. and most upon hearing such words would right him off as crazy. only hes not. hes just an asshole. He just remembers a time when we really were free and the land that suported us and he sees what we are doing to it. Ed was an enviromentalist. You know i'm not even sure what i'm saying any more. i just get so emotional when i think of the land that i love and then combine it with the possiblility of its development. Just every body go out and read either Desert Solitaire of the Monkey Wrench Gang.

What does all this have to do with the story I hope to eventually get out. I want it to take place in eds world. Its a western beond any doubt, only on the new frontier, space. I want it to be about people living bodly and dieing for what they believe in. it seems these days no one believes in anything strong enough to die for it.

i'm lacking inspiration these days.
i've got a go idea of the setting. i know the main characters. Now all i need is a plot. silly plot those are always hard to figure out. I've pretty much decided that their main quest is to get the attention of the mormon church and the profit, as the head of the church is called. but how?

on a completely seperate note i want to illustrate some song lyrics. Its a song about my homestate and well right now i'm really very homesick. what can i say i miss the high desert. its by a local artist so the lyrics arent online and i dont have the song so i cant listen to it, but i remember it pretty well. i'll do what i can. This is Toure de Wyoming by Terry Hill.

I left pinedale in a hurry
headed south on 191
blue lights in the mirror
and a still hot smoking gun

i had killed a man in baraban
in a card game in a bar
walked out into the coming night
and drove of in his car

ditched the cops outside of muddy gap
in the early morning light
i know a girl in rawlins
who might let me stay the night

they cought up with me in rock spring in the branding iron hotel
but if they think i'll go quietly they can all go straight to hell
just keep you head down baby when the bullets start to fly
and remember what the Souix once said its a damn good day to die

then theres a part about following the river south just like the colorado flows and then crossing the border to the land of mexico. but i cant remember that just right. or even close. anyway its a good song the man who wrote it is an incredible singer/song writer. Though really this is sacreligious i do enjoy his song as much as bob dylans.
i hope no one shoots me but at the same time i hope someone who reads this holds mr Dylan in high enough esteem to take offense.

As it turns out the two main characters die in the first two pages of the first issue. I thought this was a good plan. Theres something kinda of neat about finishing something before you start it. It opens up so many questions, and questions are what keep people reading. Its like knowing that the answer to life the universe and everything is 42 but not knowing what the question is... you just got find out! why 42? why??

so this is a picture of our heros wandering through the desert (yes those two blobs are our heros) on the verge of exhaustion. and moments away from their death. but how do they die? do they die of thirst? hunger? are they ambushed by huge cockroaches? stompled by antelope?

muahaha i love untied ends

the setting is mars. the newly terriformed and colonized mars. and guess who got there first? Posting decisions about how this universe will function will help both artist and author and audiance to clarify how things are run and why they are how they are, or arent for that matter. First I should clarify that this endeavor will be a graphic novel in final form.

So whats the story about? a Panda, a mean one. Also Jesus. And some girl with a sawed off shot gun. but thats really all there is so far. Lots of well what if this is changed? or this? well it is certain that the panda is deffinately the second coming of christ. aparently all those sign of the apocolypse came and as it happened no one really noticed and now hes traveling aroud wasting time cause hes not going back to heaven till hes done, and no ones really sure if he intends to finish what he started.
The girl is sort of a mistery. Shes the quiet type, quiet with a gun, like those kids in colorado. However she only uses her gun when kindness fails. but this is not a kind worl they live in and kindness pretty much always fails. but at least she give it a shot (no pun intended[actually i lied it was intended ])

I'm not sure if this takes place on earth or not. It is in the future but only about 150 years from now, we havent gotten to far from earth. but we sure are trying (this part is deffinately fantasy).

So pretty much what I'm getting at is I dont really know how this will turn out. but the more i think about and the more I get feedback and suggestions the better and more solid this story will turn out. In fact i dont even know if its going to be mostly humorous or serious...

but i'll get it figured out and start posting the art when i can
for know heres a few to get things started
our two main carachters in a landscape http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/17419836/
and a close up or the girl http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/17277773/
